ACM-Infosys Foundation Award for Frans Kaashoek
Frans Kaashoek, professor at MIT and VU Computer Science alumnus, received the 2010 ACM-Infosys Foundation Award.
The ACM-Infosys Foundation award recognizes personal contributions by young scientists and system developers to a contemporary innovation that, through its depth, fundamental impact and broad implications, exemplifies the greatest achievements in the discipline. He is only the fourth recipient of this prestigious award.

Frans Kaashoek is a professor in the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and associate director of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He is recognized for his contributions to the structuring, robustness, scalability, and security of software systems.
The VU Computer Science department congratulates him on his latest accomplishment.
