Programmer Position
I am looking for a scientific programmer to work in the Computer Systems Section in the Computer Science Dept at the Vrije Univerisity in Amsterdam.

The position is open immediately and lasts until June 2009.
The project is called
GridTrust. In a nutshell, this project is about access control and authorization for large distributed systems.
The goal is to extend existing authorization mechanisms and access control models to fit Grid requirements and possibly investigate also other classes of very large distributed systems (e.g. P2P).
The programmer will work in close collaboration with the research team dedicated to this project. The programmer is expected to actively contribute to the analysis and design phase of the development.
Here is what I expect from the programmer:
- Experience with Java programming language
- Experience with development and implementation of distributed applications and/or web services
- The ability to collaborate in a team is essential for this position
- Experience with grid middleware like LCG, Globus or Condor is a plus
- Experience with the internal of JVM will be a benefit
- Knowledge of basic security notions, XACML and access control is also a plus
Salary depends on education and experience of the candidate and is determined by civil service regulations.
