General Information

I am a PhD Student in the Computer Systems Group at the VU University Amsterdam. My research interests include high-performance distributed computing on large collections of multi and many-core processors in clusters, grids and/or clouds - with the main focus on developing high-level programming models for such platforms.

User Transparent Parallel Multimedia Computing on GPU-Clusters

There is a clear need for high performance computing in the field of multimedia content analysis.
As it is unrealistic to expect multimedia researchers to become parallel programming experts, it is essential to provide a programming model that shields its users from the complexities of developing parallel applications.
Our solution uses a familiar programming model, while allowing efficient execution on GPU-Clusters without requiring any additional effort.
