IIDS Course 2005/2006
The IIDS group contributes to the masters programme of the Computer
Systems Section and is involved in the graduate course Intelligent
Interactive Distributed Systems (IIDS). This course is taught by
Benno Overeinder and Frances Brazier. Students who wish to
participate in this course need to register at the blackboard presence
of our course (login & password required).
The (new) IIDS course is the successor of the course Multi-Agent
Systems in Complex Domains, which has been taught from Spring 1994 to
Spring 2001.

Masters Degree in Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems
The Department of Computer
Science of the Vrije Universiteit
offers a Master's degree in Parallel and Distributed Computer
Systems. Through a combination of courses, laboratories, projects, and
personal supervision, each student will be helped to expand his or her
knowledge of this increasingly important field. Due to the intensity
and quality of the programme and the worldwide reputation of the Vrije
Universiteit, graduates will be well prepared for admission to
Ph.D. programmes at the top universities around the world as well as
for jobs with leading companies.
The entire programme is in English. Knowledge of the Dutch language is
not necessary.

TAC SCM 2005 Competition
As part of the IIDS course final project, students design and implement
agents for the Trading Agent Competition Supply Chain Management game
(TAC SCM). The winning student
team of the IIDS course TAC SCM competition was invited to participate
in the International
