Classes

At the VU Amsterdam, I am giving the following courses:

Masters Theses, Bachelors Theses, Literature Studies

Interested in writing your thesis or literature study in collaboration with me? I am always open for students interested in the topics of my research area, which is mostly grid and cloud computing. Please check the following links for more information.

Open topics can be found on the department's wiki site.

Some interesting B.Sc. and M.Sc. theses from the past can be found here.

The offered thesis topics are intended for students enrolled at Vrije Universiteit. If you are studying elsewhere, you are likely not eligible, except you fulfill the following requirements:

  • Your university has an agreement about student exchange (in European terms: a Socrates Agreement) with Vrije Universiteit. If you don't know, please ask the international office of your home university.
  • The regulations of your home university have to allow doing a thesis elsewhere. You may need to find a local advisor for your thesis.
  • You will have to cover the cost of your stay in Amsterdam (travel and housing) by yourself.
If you are a non-EU citizen, you may also need a visa for the Netherlands.
  • Last but not least, you will have to convince me that you are a good student with the right skills in the field of computer systems, before being admitted.
