Research interests

The research focuses on software architectures enabling next-generation services. The research will identify the characteristics of service-enabled architectures, and study the mechanisms and aspects that need to be shared by different and independent software systems, in order to be able to integrate them in one service.

In particular, the research focuses on investigating the distinctions and similarities between traditional software engineering and service oriented software engineering. The intention is to inspect which existing software engineering methods, techniques and principles are relevant to service engineering. The objective is to examine to what extent these software engineering elements are applicable and extensible to service engineering and what innovative elements are required particularly in service engineering.
