research
I joined the Computer Science Department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in October 2008, as an
assistant professor.
My interests lie in the area of decentralized self-organization for very large scale distributed systems.
I am particularly interested in Gossiping (also known as Epidemic) Protocols.
From July 2006 to September 2008 I was a post doctoral researcher at the Systems Group of ETH Zurich.
Prior to that,
I completed my Ph.D. in 2006 at the Department of Computer Science, Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands,
my M.Sc. in 1999 at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA,
and my B.Sc. in 1997 at the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department, University of Patras, Greece.
