Semantic Interoperability To access Cultural Heritage

NWO MPI VU KB

STITCH demonstrators

The STITCH project investigates the application of Semantic Web techniques to the Cultural Heritage domain. Since the project has begun, we have worked on a number of collections and vocabularies. Some of these efforts have crystallized in the form of prototypes where users can navigate through different collections or vocabularies integrated at the semantic level.
BnF Mandragore - KB Illuminated Manuscripts
Integrating access to the Mandragore Illumination database at the French National Library and the Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts at the National Library of the Netherlands.
Rijksmuseum ARIA - KB Illuminated manuscripts
Integrating access to the Rijksmuseum Masterpieces Collection and the Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts at the National Library of the Netherlands. This demo is temporarily not available.
CATCH Vocabulary and Alignment Repository
Providing access to vocabularies and alignments by means of a standardized (SKOS-oriented) web service.
Rameau subject headings as linked data
Providing access to the main subject vocabulary at the French National Library using SKOS and linked data recipes.
