30% of Android apps silently accessing all other apps installed on your smartphone

VU assistant professor Ivano Malavolta and former-VU assistant professor Kaveh Razavi are featured in well-known tech news websites like Ars technica and ZDNet for their recent study on Android. The study provides evidence that a very large portion of Android apps are silently accessing all installed apps on Android smartphones, mainly for advertisement purposes.
